Turning round in a private car park

Hi,
I have just received a notice to keeper letter saying I have a parking charge of £100. It says that the reason for issue is stopping in a no stopping area. All I did was come off the main round and turned around in a car park which I didn’t even know was private and stopped for a few seconds to redirect my sat nav. Do I have the right to appeal this? The incident also happened on the 25th May 2020 and the notice was issued on the 23rd July.

Name of the parking company ??
Is the NTK POFA compliant ?
Have you read the newbies FAQ sticky thread near the top of the forum ??
Plan A is your best option , it always is , regardless of the circumstances
Everyone has the right to appeal , but plan A is better than any appeal1 -

They acknowledge that the keeper is not liable where they say in the heading of that letter NON POFA...
Unfortunately, in your opening post you have told the world who the driver was.
As soon as you are able, you should edit your opening post to replace the sentence starting with the word all with something like:
All the driver did was come off the main road and turned around in a car park which she didn’t even know was private and stopped for a few seconds to redirect the sat nav.
Was it really only 'a few seconds' or perhaps more than ten minutes?2 -
Seems to have failed POFA so a keeper has no liability , despite what they say
I park is a small fry IPC member , so no popla
Edit your posts to remove any hint of who was driving , the driver was driving , they say the driver has liability , so why tell anyone the identity of the driver ?2 -
I don’t see an option to edit 🤦♀️0

You do not have enough posts yet
Pm soolin with your new wording and ask her to replace the words in the post with your new wording , the driver entered and turned round etc
In future , think about your words more carefully , careless wording can cost you money , think of it like a no comment interview1 -
I’m sorry to be a nightmare but how do I do that? Who’s soolin ? I’m not sure how this works and I know I didn’t even think, I just panicked posting... lesson learnt. Thanks tho to everyone, now I know for the future0

Soolin is the name of a board guide who does some admin on here , just as you are Sarah738
Have you not read the FAQs at the top of this forum ? Top right below the bell , the mail for messaging envelope is the next icon along too
Her name posted the last post in the newbies FAQ sticky thread near the top of the forum that you should have read by now , preferably before posting
Click on her name and send a direct private message , include your new wording for her to copy and paste3 -
Calm down and just take on board that this is going nowhere because it's non-POFA and the signs look woeful.
The registered keeper (NOT DRIVER!!) should appeal it and appeal to the IAS with evidence that this is not marked as a no-stopping zone. Check your wording for the IAS appeal with us first - no saying 'I stopped' of course!
You need no help with the first appeal. We hope, before you posted a new thread (of course) that you've already read NEWBIES PLEASE READ THESE FAQS FIRST.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
