No eCP code but delivered

I purchased an item and ask the seller to send it to a local collection shop, however they have not added the ecp code to the label, the item tracking is showing as delivered to customer, I've been to the shop, they say they do not have it, obviously I have not received any ecp code, what do I do?

Did you follow the full eBay click and collect procedure, or just ask them to send to a local shop?

I did it all correctly, at the checkout I asked for collection, it gave the eCP code, and when I go back into my order details it shows the eCP code.
The seller has printed a label elsewhere and not added the code.

IME shops/pick up points wont accept the items without a code.

So you either believe the shop or the tracking.

The tracking says 'delivered to customer' but does that mean shop or a private property, the shop did check and they don't have it. 
 
either way I want to make sure I won't loose an INR case

A delivery to a collect shop is just a delivery. The ECP side is (to my knowledge) simply ebays software generating the code from a scan from the receiving store.
