I get an email confirming when it goes through, although it never does on the site. 
I've also noticed the more I enter comps for this site, I get a copy of the newsletter for everytime I enter a comp which is annoying.

It looked like my entry hadn't got through, as I just got a spinning wheel.  But I refreshed the page and it came up with "email address already exists".
