Morning all.
Does anyone know it is possible to tax online if the vehicle bring bought was previously registered as exempt for a disabled owner?

What Neil said. You're not just taxing it, you're changing the tax class.

One thing that I found out about this last year that really annoyed me and I find quite disgraceful was when we bought a wheelchair vehicle (WAV) for my dad and went to tax it we had to change the tax class because he wasn't entitled to it, even though he's disabled (recent amputee). If you become disabled after you retire you can't get any disability benefit therefore can't qualify for the exemption for vehicle tax.

AA doesn't count as a benefit. Only those with DLA, PIP, Armed Forces Independence Payment or War Pensioners Mobility supplement can get it. In fact, as an aside, other than the small amount of AA you can get I think the help for those who become disabled whilst in retirement is derisory.
