Booked flights with BA in January 2020 from Gatwick to Florida on the  27th September 2020 Return 11th October 2020. We paid the deposit of £300 by credit card ( full payment required by 9th August ) I was wondering am I able to get a refund of the deposit ? as it’s very unlikely the flight will go ahead and I’m not really sure or happy to pay the full amount as they seem to be just offering a voucher. Many thanks for any help on this matter appreciated.

    Key info:

"For bookings made prior to 3 March 2020 for journeys to be completed by 30 September 2020 or bookings made between 3 March 2020 and 31 August 2020 for travel completed by 30 April 2021, please complete the online voucher form to change both your destination and dates. We will cancel your booking on your behalf and email you a voucher to the value of your booking, valid until 30 April 2022.

Vouchers can be used as payment, or part payment, for a future booking. Your new trip booked using a voucher must be fully completed by 30 April 2022 (departure and return). You will receive your voucher by email within seven days of your application.

IMPORTANT: Please do not amend or cancel your booking in Manage My Booking - we will do this on your behalf."

My understanding is that as your outward journey will be completed by end September you would be eligible for a voucher.
