Court Case Discontinued - Thank you.

I’ve been following this forum since May 2019 after receiving a UKCPM ticket in Feb last year. I’ve never posted before but all of the advice and information on the forum has been invaluable for me. UKCPM and Gladstone’s finally folded 3 days before the hearing at the local County Court. Thank you. 🙏🏻

I Love the counter claim letter but I’m just so glad to be rid of all the grief and stress! One thing that may be of use to other members in this case - it was a PCN issued in a pub car park owned by Enterprise Inns. I wrote to the landowner, EI Group to try and resolve the matter and they responded with a letter saying they take no part in the engagement of parking services. The Landlord rents the site from them and it is the landlord’s decision whether to use parking enforcement or not. This news was quite a surprise to me as the parking regulations state the parking enforcement company must have the permission of the landowner to operate on their site. The letter from EI Group was like an admission of non compliance from UKCPM. Plus the fact that there had been 11 different landlords at the pub in the last 5 years and no evidence of who had engaged the parking enforcement contract or whether it was still valid. Also the signs were atrocious!3

It's not that I don't trust the scammers (snigger), but I suggest you check the MCOL statues in a few days just to ensure it really is over. You should get a letter from the court anyway, but it's best to double check in case it goes astray.I married my cousin.
