Sainsbury’s BT offers after 27 month 0 per cent expiry

My 27 months 0 per cent balance transfer period with Sainsbury’s will soon be ending. Was wondering if anyone has experience of new offers from Sainsbury’s once the 27 months at 0 per cent ends. Thanks in advance

Going to struggle if your signature is anything to go by. Lenders are massively tightening up their criteria, especially on affordability tests. A mere £1000 reduction over a year on your long term debt isn't going to look good.

Thanks for your reply. It’s an interesting one. I still get ongoing offers from Halifax and MBNA which I currently hold. Halifax offering 0 per cent for 16 months with a 3.5 pc fee. I know it’s just a number but my Experian score has been 999 for ages. Total credit card balances now well below 13k, granted that’s still a lot but lockdown has helped me knock the total down significantly.
Would be interested what sort of offers Sainsbury’s might have as I’m wondering whether to get rid once the 27 month offer ends.

They won’t extend it. They may offer another balance transfer deal but you won’t be able to utilise that without moving the debt to another card first then back again.
Your score has nothing to do with offers or lending decisions as a whole.

Thanks. Yes I realise they won’t extend it. I’ve got the balance on it right down anyway so it was more about transferring an existing balance if the deal was any good.  I was just curious as to whether anyone had any experience of their subsequent offers, once the 27 month deal has ended

I’ve never known a credit provider allow you to transfer a balance held with them to another balance transfer offer with them

The best you can hope for is to transfer to a deal on another one of your cards.
