ByMiles Car Insurance - Worth it? Reviews?

I'm just wondering if anybody has had any experience with this insurance company?
My car insurance renewal is driving me barmy this year and is due in a fortnight. I am a 24 year old male, driving an Audi A3. I've had my licence for 4 years with also the same amount in No Claims discount. My renewal last year was £1000 for the year, this year on comparison sites I'm struggling to be offered less than £1300!
I've stumbled across this ByMiles. I've never heard of it before but it is drawing me in. It's quoted me approximately £730 for the year based on 8,000 - 10,000 miles a year, but is more a pay as you go option, so over the year I could pay more or less. I've typically been working out my typical mileage through the week which seems quite beneficial, but this has been without factoring other driving trips I can make during the week, thinking this could soon build up.
But overall I'm not sure if this would be worth it for me. It seems great thinking I work around 1 mile away, my girlfriend works about 5 and I feel typically I'd drive no more than 20 a day. But this isn't factoring in other journeys that crop up every now and then, such as days out, socialising, family emergencies etc. But then again seems great if going abroad and the car is sat for two weeks, we walk more places or for any other reason I have no need to use the car. Most reviews I've read have been praising the company for saving them a fortune during lockdown and everything.
Has anybody used this company before? And is it worth it?

Have you done a full quote or just their quick quote? Quotes for me are £150 more than my full premium elsewhere
and adds another £75 per 1000 miles.

I wonder if in the small print there is a £75 charge for 1000 miles 😳0 -
Don't judge an insurer just by their price, but look at their T+Cs which you havent yet."It is prudent when shopping for something important, not to limit yourself to Pound land/Estate Agents"

I have just completed the application for Bymiles car insurance.
Filled everything in and message back. "We cannot insure you"
I don't think it is because of my age as they state the age limit as 78!
I am 75 years old.
Had a clean licence for 53 years
No accidents or convictions.
Live in a nice area, car parked on driveway.

Also means you need to put a box on your car which monitors where you drive and speed etc which I'm not a fan of but works for some people..0
