Hi, my accounts were sent in before the deadline but the HMRC say that they were late, according to my Accountant the data of my accounts 'bounced back onto her system'
into a file that she was not aware of and this has caused the issue with them passing the deadline date. and this making me not being eligible for the SEISS.
Any views on this matter

How come you are asking this question this late?
If your 2018-19 tax return was not submitted by 23rd April, then you do not qualify.
If your Accountant was negligent in not filing the submission, you may have a potential to claim against their PI cover?1 -
Your accountant should have taken action when no confirmation of receipt from HMRC arrived. If you were providing the information near to the cut off date, that might be why there was a problem.1

Your accountant had 389 days to get your 2018-19 tax return submitted in order for you to be eligible for the SEISS grant.
Normally, I would say find a new accountant.
However, the usual reason for mess ups like this is clients taking in paperwork at 4:30pm on the 31st January each year and expecting their accountants to file it before the midnight deadline. It sounds like you still hadn't got yours in by the 23rd April.

The OP also can't claim the second SEISS as the same deadlines re: filling tax returns will apply.
Definitely sounds as a potential negligence claim against the accountants insurance.0 -
Can I claim the second SEISS grant. I have been self employed for 7years. I develop and refurbish domestic properties for a living. I have been working on a property in North Wales since September 2019 and live near Manchester and commute to site. The Welsh Government imposed travel restrictions in March 2020 meaning I could not get to my ONLY place of business, this restriction was lifted on the 7th of July. Am I entitled to claim the second grant?
thanks for your help0 -
Your business has to be adversely affected by coronavirus after 13 July 2020. If you will be working as normal at the site, and can get the labour and materials you require to do the job, you will not be eligible.0
