Expedia package holiday refunds

I have a package holiday (flight + hotel, booked together, one price) booked with Expedia to Iceland. Icelandair have cancelled the flights and Expedia have refunded the cost of the flights. However, a hotel stay was also booked as part of that package, which we clearly no longer need as we can't get there! Expedia are saying we can only have a voucher for the hotel rather than a refund, as the hotel was non-refundable. Is this correct? I thought we should be due a full refund as it is a package holiday. Any help greatly appreciated. Thank you.

What does your ATOL certificate say ? does it say package holiday or something else? if the latter then expedia may be correct.0

Thank you! Ive checked the ATOL certificate and it's definitely a package holiday so everything I read on the internet suggests Im entitled to a full refund. I'll stand my ground with Expedia and see what happens!0

Update, in case anyone is in the same position...
After about 3 weeks of phone calls and emails to Expedia (it was escalated to their 'disputes' dept), a message sent to Expedia via the resolver.co.uk website and finally an application to do a credit card chargeback, Expedia have now sent an email saying we will receive a full refund. My advice to anyone in the same position is to keep on at Expedia and repeat that you have an ATOL certificate stating you booked a package holiday and UK law states you are due a full refund.
Hope that helps someone. :-)
