Have just received my refund back from virgin for my holiday to Florida. This was refunded back to my barclaycard which now want to charge
me to get my money back Even though I had paid this off is this correct or is there a way round this.

Phone them up and ask them to credit your current account with the funds (assuming your credit card is showing a positive balance).

I suspect the OP had a huge balance on his credit card and this refund has eaten up part of it. If this is the case, then it is tough luck I am afraid.0

Send them a secure message from the website. I’ve done this three times this summer (refunds for holiday, travel insurance, and season ticket) to transfer money to my back account and they did it without any question. This was for an excess credit balance thought; not sure if a transfer from a negative balance would be challenged.0

Might be that a rep did not quite understand waht was being said.
As a normal cash advance from a credit card will incur a fee. But transferring a retailer refund (that has placed a card in credit) does not.Life in the slow lane1
