How to tell what brand my upvc windows are

I've recently ordered some Rehau windows fitted. But I've always wondered - how does one tell what brand their upvc windows are - want to know if I currently have another brand of window, what the u-factor is etc. Anyone know how to do this?

simple, look for a brand marking on there. if there is none, then they are no-name rubbish (90% of them are)

Don't get too hung up on the u-value of the frame. The glass is the biggest part of a window. If the sealed unit is substandard, even the best frame isn't going to help. Fitting is also a major factor. Sloppy fitting will negate any super-duper "high performance" frame.
Any language construct that forces such insanity in this case should be abandoned without regrets. –

thanks! hmm i've looked at various upvc windows at home/ friends' houses, showrooms - none of them have brand markings on them. the most i see is something in the space between the glass but that's just what spacer they use.

Open a window, there should be some writing on the frame you have revealed. Mine is printed with the maker, BS numbers and a date.Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.0
