Hi all.
Not sure if this is the right thread.
My daughter is going to be working in france for 5-6months over the winter 2020-21 and is taking her car with her. Her current insurance company allows up to 90 days a year with a max of 30 days in go. Any ideas what she needs to do, are there uk companies that will cover her or will she need to get french insurance polcy.
cheers

Apparently there are some UK companies that will insure people for longer stays in Europe, such as LV or AJ Insurance, who can insure for 180 days. If she gets a French policy it seems that she'll have to register the car in France too. Just do a google search, there are UK companies that will do longer than 30 days. Please note - taken from the Forum Rules and amended for my own personal use (with thanks) : It is up to you to investigate, check, double-check and check yet again before you make any decisions or take any action based on any information you glean from any of my posts. When I was doing seasonal type work in France I used Stuart Collins, a broker based in Swansea who specialises in this sort of thing (in fact they seem to do little else). The website is not flashy but don't let that put you off - I always got good service.
