Leisure centres reduced hours?

Hi, I've noticed leisure centre will be closing at 8pm weekdays and midday on Saturday and Sunday I believe.

Does anyone know why exactly, and when normal hours will resume, ie 10pm weekdays?

Comments

  • It will be because of all the extra cleaning they're going to have to do!

When will normal hours resume?   When there's a vaccine for Covid-19.

It is a special trick to help social distancing - cram everyone in to the place all at the same time.  Very common - banks, post office, lots of places all doing the same thing.  Personally, I would have thought longer hours so we could space our visits out would help, but obviously the decision makers know something we don't.

Maybe if they closed 2 hours later, the extra revenue would more than pay for an hour or two cleaning at the end?
