New UC claim - reporting self employment

I've recently claimed UC for the first time and I'm self employed. The phone appointment said I need to report my self employed earnings which I knew about. However when I log in it says "On 28 July 2020 we will tell you how much you are going to get" but nowhere to input my earnings. At what point do I do it? On the phone I was only told end of the month. Presumably before Tuesday 28th so they can calculate the correct amount?

You must report your self-employed earnings on the last day of each assessment period, even if you have no income.

A ‘Report your income and expenses to-do’ will be posted on your Universal Credit account on the last day of each assessment period. You will also be sent a message via your preferred method of contact to remind you to report.

If you have no income in an assessment period you must report ‘no’ when asked if you have self-employed earnings.

Because the calculation is based on the last day of the assessment period you cannot report the required information in advance because, by definition, you can’t finalise it until the last day.
Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.

Keep an eye on your ToDo list - it will show up there on the last day of your Universal Credit month (called an Assessment Period or AP). As you surmise, you will need to complete it before they can generate your statement and tell you how much UC you may get paid.
