Cost of 4m rsj installation

Just seeing if the quotes I have received are ‘good’ and fair for the work. I have been quoted £3500 for a 4m rsj installation (opening up kitchen) this includes building regs and structural calculations etc. Does that seem reasonable?

You'll need to give much more detail to get any sensible appraisals on here; where in the country are you? What works are included (removal of the wall, supporting columns if needed? making good after, any re-wiring...)? Though if you've got quotes from a selection of recommended local builders and they are much of a muchness then what someone on here thinks is the 'right' price is going to be of little relevance.
