    It’s Still puzzling that your half brother didn’t consider the holiday when booking the funeral.
    On what basis are you claiming?
    death of distant relative?
    or your step brother not travelling?
    or something else?
    Should be pretty easy to check online paperwork to see if you are covered, It’s normally available on websites if you’ve lost what you were sent.
    You haven’t said where you are going? If it’s spain then the recent FCO advice might have saved you.
