Center Parcs Cancellation Refusal

We're booked into center Parks in a couple of weeks but we've been trying to cancel the holiday under the "book with confidence" guarantee because of the limited access available to the pool which is the main attraction for us.

The latest email I have from them is that they consider their villages to now be open and therefore the normal Ts and C's apply which would mean a cancellation fee of 75% of the holiday!  Frankly this is outrageous given the circumstances and previous assurances given but I don't want to be on the hook for paying a load of money to them for nothing.  Has anyone had similar from Center Parc's and managed to challenge it?

I booked it back in April and since had several emails from Center Parcs saying I'd have the opportunity to cancel if I wasn't happy with the arrangements when they opened.  The latest email from them goes completely against that.
