So, I accepted an offer/instructed solicitors at the end of January.... Next week's it's August.
Of course, I am aware that leasehold take longer (see below)...and we had a little issue with COVID!!!
My solicitor has suggested I discount lockdown months from my timeline as we simply do not know how companies operated during lockdown.
However, I am beginning to think she was talking about her company. This is because my original solicitor was placed on furlough and I get emails from my current solicitor at midnight (maybe that's just when she likes to write emails!!).
The hold up (well, the main one) appears to be obtaining the lease or "sellers pack" from the landlord. I paid my solicitors for this at the start of April.
I have been copied in to emails from my solicitors to the leaseholders with evidence of payment... although this payment was made at the 2 months after I paid them!!....erm, COVID!
The buyer is know talking about walking away, which is the only play I guess they have.
I guess there's nothing I can do but wait? And cross my fingers!

You should contact your landlord / freeholder (or their management company) to find out why they haven't provided the "seller's pack" yet.
Your solicitor will just send occasional emails to them - whereas you can potentially get on the phone to them and be a bit more persistent, and ask why it hasn't been done, and when it will be done etc.
Then you might have some reassuring feedback for your buyer.
Edit to add...
I would have thought that your EA would have been chasing you to chase your landlord / freeholder over this. Have you got an EA that does sales progression?0
