Just changed to m & s cc, what a faff their online banking is, download an app, etc total pain. On phoning their helpline I get someone from abroad with a dog barking in the background as she's working from home, the dog was so loud I had to ring off, absolute farce. M & S get your self sorted!

Is there a question here or...?0

The app is perfectly simple once you download the details. Quick and simple after that. You can tell a lot about a woman by her hands..........for instance, if they are placed around your throat, she's probably slightly upset.

I am not impressed by the way M and S have handled this. I can no longer access my account. I have to wait for a week to receive a card reader. Total shambles.Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow. The important thing is not to stop questioning. Albert Einstein0

That's the most secure way, so just be grateful they don't just ask for widely available info such as Date of Birth, Mother's Maiden Name or totally insecure verification by SMS.HonestJohn said:I am not impressed by the way M and S have handled this. I am happy with using a card reader. I do this with other accounts. What I don't like is the assumption that everybody is using apps on a smartphone these days and being given zero notice of this change. I now have to wait a week for a card reader. It looks like a different system to other banks where the card readers are interchangeable.Gerry1 said:

Well, I've sussed out the phone app, but the phone call from abroad with the barking dog was ridiculous.0

Thinking of ditching M&S credit card. Requested a pin reminder at least two weeks ago, it still hasn’t arrived
Phoned today to repeat request but when they gave my balance via their virtual assistant I thought there might have been a mistake. I thought might because during lockdown I’ve used it more than normal.Phoned M&S customer service and held on for 16 minutes and 21 seconds. Not good. Not good at all. I’ll try them again this afternoon and they have 20 minutes before I jump ship

I quite like the M&S credit card - has its own unique quirks that make it a lucrative fixture in the wallet. As such I can live with the online banking and app which are basic but do work.
