Home insurance

Hi, in relation to home insurance, can the person who is down as a joint policy holder pay via direct debit? I was under the assumption that 'joint' means equal, rather than one being the main holder and the other secondary.

Many thanks.

There is no law on the matter and so it simply comes down to individual insurance company decisions... there are many youngsters who's parents pay for their policies who aren't even named on it.

I doubt the insurer will care whose account payment is being made from. Are you actually having a problem?
