Help, Received a Claim Form for PCN from Excel dated 30/1/2017. No previous contact?

Options
I've followed the Newbie link, i understand about the Claim form process and requesting of the SAR. My concern is when i come to the witness statement I don"t have any recollection of the said offence taking place or even where the (Particulars of claim) states it happened. Am i right in saying i would have to use the details gained from the SAR to then help me in preparing my witness statement based on the evidence they have against me? would this give me enough time given it can take up to 30 days for this information to be provided by Excel?

any court case and therefore any WS submission date is likely to be in several months time, so way beyond any SAR reply of 30 days (yes you would use this reply for information about the incident)

what is the issue date on the CCBC claim form ?

With a Claim Issue Date of 22nd July, you have until Monday 10th August to file an Acknowledgment of Service. If possible, do not file an AoS before 25th July, but otherwise, there is nothing to be gained by delaying it.
To file an AoS, follow the guidance in the Dropbox file linked from the second post in the NEWBIES thread.

Having filed an AoS, you have until 4pm on Monday 24th August 2020 to file your Defence.
That's over four weeks away. Plenty of time to produce a Defence, but please don't leave it to the last minute.
To create a Defence, and then file a Defence, look again at the second post on the NEWBIES thread - immediately following where you found the Acknowledgment of Service instructions.
Don't miss the deadline for filing an Acknowledgment of Service, nor that for filing a Defence.

Nine times out of ten these tickets are scams, so consider complaining to your MP., it can cause the scammer extra costs, and in some cases, cancellation.

Parliament is well aware of the MO of these private parking companies, many of whom are former clampers, and on 15th March 2019 a Bill was enacted to curb the excesses of these shysters. Codes of Practice are being drawn up, an independent appeals service will be set up later this year,

Just as the clampers were finally closed down, so hopefully will many of these companies, persistent offenders denied access to the DVLA database and unable to operate.

Hopefully life will become impossible for the worst of these scammers, but until this is done you should still complain to your MP, citing the new legislation.

You never know how far you can go until you go too far.

Yes the reason to get a SAR is to inform you for your WS & evidence stage, so you now what to say because you've seen their hand!

You may have to also look on older-dated images from Google Streetview (using the little 'date change' arrow top left) to see what the signs looked like then, because a SAR doesn't include signage (because the sign isn't your personal data).
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
