Weeding and putting new lawn down
Options
Evening all,
I have roughly a 120sq meter garden, the plan is to stick gravel down and the a lawn for 80sqm.
Whats the easiest, quickest way to de-weed and get a new lawn. Cant decide between turf or seed. Which one is better this time of year, what's the normal trade off in cost and which one is easier to do (not a gardener)
Kind regards
James

Is the existing lawn really that bad? Its amazing what can be done with selective weedkiller, fertiliser and seed0

We have a lot of weeds tbh, it needs levelling up about. Was thinking of digging all weeds up and levelling and putting seed down.0

Don't dig up the weeds, spray them with weedol lawn weedkiller. Apply a high nitrogen feed and water. Its surprising what can be done with a bit of renovation. Scratch the surface of bald patches and apply some seed. If the lawn is really uneven add a few bags of topsoil to level out the bad bits.
If you don't want to do all that hire a rotovator, churn it up, level it and turf or seed, depending on your budget and patience.0 -
I was thinking of a rotavator. Might have to look into it0
