Ask them to show you where in the policy it says you are not due a courtesy car.

Removal of a cat isn't any of those.
I don't see anywhere that it says "attempted theft of the vehicle". If you're looking at the first sentence on the page it says "when the car is involved in....attempted theft". This was a (successful) theft.
Take it elsewhere you dont need the Cat to come in a Toyota box. Depending on location a garage could have one tomorrow, or Monday. No need to wait 4 weeks.

Yes I've been phoning around the independent garages. They seem to be able to get hold of aftermarket units (and at substantially lower prices). I'm now investigating what the pitfalls might be with using an aftermarket converter....
