Sofology - Not fit for purpose

Hi, I bought 2 sofas from Sofology 2 years ago. In that time the base frames have sagged, arms have caved in and they creak all the time. They are not really fit for purpose and I regret the money I wasted on them. I was originally drawn to them due to their 20yr frame guarantee - but the frames are rubbish. We have had them fixed once already and are awaiting another fix. I dont want them fixed every year - I want a refund!! How do you know on long term items like furniture that they are going to be useless 2 years later?
What rights are there when things go wrong after a long period?
Many thanks

You have consumer rights, even after this long. You have the right to pay someone independent to inspect the sofas and if the report suggests they were never fit for purpose, the retailer would have to offer a repair, a replacement or a refund, tempered by the two years' use you've already had. Plus reimburse the cost of your report.1
