Investments abroad

Please can someone help me, I’m thinking of investing abroad in buying some land which has the potential to double in value. I would like to know hypothetically speaking if I invested 50k and it doubled to 100k how would I get the 100k back to the UK and how much tax would I need to pay on this? I really hope someone can help. Thanks

Agree with above sounds scammy
Hypothetically, this link seems to indicate you would have to pay CGT, you may also pay tax in the foreign country (but may then get some relief).
