Hi all,

I was due to fly from Belfast on the 13th of March to prague due to the covid 19 pandemic i did not fly on that flight. I am aware that it was my choice and that i made my decision on the governments advice. On the 14th of march i received an email stating my return flight to belfast had been cancelled and i had 3 options, refund, change flight or receive a voucher, i selected the refund. I was told it would be 5-7 days for the refund to be processed. It is now the 23rd of July still no refund. i have tired to phone many times, which i am sure others have found the pre recorded message on the phone talks about options etc then after about 2 mins it hangs up. Last month i finally got through and was on hold for 4 hours, at the point the phone then cut off. During the last few months i have emailed easyjet and have also messaged then on their contact section of their website, still no replies. i have received acknowledgement of my contact but that is it. I am only wanting a refund for the flight that they cancelled and i need a cancelation invoice to reflect that i did not travel so that i can give that to my travel insurance company.  Has anyone else had any issues like this? i personally feel this is far to long to be expected to wait, i understand it is strange times etc and that there are a lot of people with cancelled holidays and flights etc but i have made contact numerous times now and have not received any reply.

Niall,my holiday thru virgin was cancelled in may and I have been informed it’s gonna take up to 120 days to get my full refund,so it seems to be a common trend, some better than others.not good considering all monies paid up in full.
