Just a little update. Received a notice of cancellation from CEL a couple of days ago so definitely relieved now. 
But I wanted to ask if anyone knows if it's possible to ask the court for compensation, been fighting this for the past 20 months and it was a lot of unwanted stress from them.

no , although if you submitted your summary costs schedule you could ask the judge to consider it by emailing the court

if you havent, then your only option is to issue an LBC and a court claim of your own , but unless you have medical evidence to backup your stress and harassment claim its probably a dead duck

when someone is chasing an alleged debt, its considered to be legitimate and not harassment

so think carefully about it

well done on your win against CEL, even on a technicality like a discontinuation !!

You can file a claim, after sending a Letter before Claim, but it would need to be properly pleaded in law.
