Credit voucher

I used the booking site Otel.com which I now know isn't good. I booked a UK break in May to which had free cancellation policy. I cancelled due to the covid outbreak, and Otel told me due to the high request of refund enquiries they would give me a credit voucher that I would have a year to use. I am unable to use that voucher and want my money back but they are not responding to me. What else can I do?

Did the free cancellation policy offer you a cash refund, or a voucher? Refer to the t&c's.
You cannot do a card chargeback, since you cancelled, not the provider, so you are reliant on the provider and their terms.
Your only other option is possibly via your holiday insurance.No free lunch, and no free laptop

They only offered me a voucher back to use within the year but I wanted my money back as I had chosen the free cancellation option whilst booking.
Not sure where my rights stand, I have sent the booking site a few messages but no reply. Can my bank send charges to them?0
