Fighting with Nat West re cancelled flight chargeback. Advice please

I flew with TAP to The Gambia on Feb 1st. They delayed my 27th March return until 29th then cancelled without notice.
I have tried since then to get sense from TAP but no response so moved on to my bank as I used my debit card.
I am unable to phone them at £1.70 per minute so am using their message service. (Online chat can't help)
They are refusing my claim using the Feb 1st date for the 120 day window whereas I am arguing it should be 29th March.
Who is right please? I have read on Visa site it is from the day the service wasn't delivered. I believe they are running down the clock as the actually 120 days is Monday 3rd August.

I'd agree with your view that the 120 days starts from the point at which it was apparent that the service wasn't to be delivered, but 120 days from 29 March is actually 27 July not 3 August! However, I believe that you only need to submit your chargeback claim within that window, so if you've already done that, then delaying their response doesn't give them the option to time-bar it....hateshousework said:They are refusing my claim using the Feb 1st date for the 120 day window whereas I am arguing it should be 29th March.
