Furlough top up

Hi everyone. Just need a bit of advice. I have been on furlough and my employer has been topping my salary up to 80% as I am over the £2500 cap. They have gave my payslip for this month and it was significantly lower. My manager asked payroll for me and they have said they are not topping it up to 80% anymore from this month. I have not received anything saying this. Where do I stand? Must mention I have gave my notice in a week and half ago. Thanks.

Presumably you signed a furlough agreement to reduce your pay to 80% in the first place? What did it say?
Where your notice period does not exceed the statutory minimum by at least a week, you should be paid your pre furlough salary. Where it is more than that, it will depend on your contract of employment, as amended by your furlough agreement. They cannot reduce your pay while on notice unilaterally, so something is wrong.0 -
They’re probably understandably narked off that you happily took their money, and are now bailing on them...0

Thanks. In my agreement it says 80% of my basic wage. Nothing about there being a cap of £2500. My notice period is a month. As soon as I handed in my notice I was asked to come back to work. 4 days notice not even from the manager and no agreement. I work for a large corporate company. They even found my replacement before I officially handed in my notice.0

If you are back at work they should be paying you your full wage anyway?0

Yes I went back last week but that isn’t being paid this month as it missed the cut off date. It should be in next months pay hopefully.0
