Decking screws for 32 mm thick Deck Boards

Hi,  Anyone used any 32 mm deck boards?  If so can I ask what screws you used please?  I read some where you should use at least 2.5 times the board thickness so 80 mm but there appears to be little choice over 75 mm?  Can anyone help?  Thank you.

    Screwfix do 85mm decking screws.
I would just use 70mm myself.

Are you sure the decking boards are actually 32mm - some boards have a nominal size of 32mm but by the time they are regularised, you only get about 28mm of thickness, in which case 70mm will be fine.
The comments I post are my personal opinion. While I try to check everything is correct before posting, I can and do make mistakes, so always try to check official information sources before relying on my posts.

70mm will be fine. By the time you've driven the screw into the "groove" of the board, you have at least 45mm going into the bearer below - that's more than enough.

I would be happy 65mm and into the "groove" of the board, But do keep it nice and flush so water won't sit in it.

Based on my experience, I recommend using timber deck screws 6.7 x 100mm for 32mm thick deck boards. They have a suitable 100mm length and a robust hex head design, perfect for outdoor use. These screws are reliable and provide secure fastening for your deck project. You can buy decking screws at Multifix Direct.

I think the OP has probably decided which screws they will need considering it's a three year old thread boosted by a possible sales post..
