NSI Income Bonds - trying to open

I've been trying to open an account for the last couple of days but the Your Investment box doesn't seem to like any number I input. Every time I get the error message "Sorry, we can only accept up to £99,999.99 by debit card. Please change the amount"  I wish it was cos I was trying to deposit more than the max   but sadly I'm not. 
I've tried with and without the £ sign, comma, etc but still no joy.
Live chat not available and phoning = long wait times. 
Probably something really simple so if anyone can help I'd be very appreciative. Tnx

Update: I tried a different amount and it went thru ok .:)

It is over £500 that you are trying to deposit?  There's a £500 minimum, so I'm just wondering if the wrong error message is coming up.

Tnx Ischris85, tbh I didn't think of trying another browser as chrome is usually good for everything. I'll remember that for any future online issues tho

Thanks for the update and it is generally better not to delete answered threads as they may be useful for other users.
