Nanny, I'm so sorry, I hope Mr Fixit continues looking and feeling well. I know how you feel, Steve has just gone to the hospital for his bi-monthly blood test so there is always that waiting to make sure that nothing has changed for the worse. He would usually have his treatment tomorrow but they're short staffed so they rang to ask if he would change to Friday.
We met Laura and Esben at a garden centre yesterday where she was buying plants (I may have succumbed to a few as well) and then we went on to Wandlebury Hill for a picnic lunch. It was lovely to see them, Esben changes every day now and Laura said she was finding life easier now he is mobile and able to entertain himself more. Mind you he managed to suck the wheel of his pushchair yesterday so I hope he has no ill-effects from that.
Laura planted her purchases last night but was bewailing the foxes which are a real pest in their very small garden so if anyone has any tips for deterring them please let me know. I might have a look at the gardening thread about it.

Afternoon everyone
Raining here today but still mild - though I shouldn't complain as I had lovely sunshine to sit in yesterday.
I've been for coffee with a friend this morning - we had a good long natter - I haven't seen her since lockdown. It was really nice and we plan to do it again next week. Then I had a prescription to collect and went to Home Bargains for some bits - £16 worth of bits! Though a few things were for my mam. The street was quite quiet today - probably because of the rain - I was pleased as the last time I was in it was packed. We have 2 caravan parks - the first weekend they were open there was an influx of 8000 tourists into the town!
Home again on the bus. I have a stairgate to put up at the bottom of the stairs for the little explorer - it's in a huge box from Amazon. Then I plan on being lazy with my book
Hope everyone has a good day9 -
Just a quick check in as the DGC are here. I wanted to say I am thinking of you and Mr Fixit Nanny - lots of hugs coming your way - I'm really sorry the results weren't better xxFor t he 1st time in about 4 months I went on the little bus to town this morning. I caught the early one ,I was the 1st on it, and only a handful after me & the same coming back. Went in M/s and picked up 3 pairs of jeans at a bargainous price, with £5 off with my Sparks card. Then off into wilkos where I picked up lots of bits I needed but always forget in my online shop, lastly the bakery to pick up a treat for the children. At the moment they are doing 'jobs' to earn some pocket money
Better check how it's going, so bye for now x

Nanny, love and hugs to you and Mr Fix-it. I commend My F-i's attitude, it will get him through without too much angst. Poor you though, its not easy to be calm on the surface and a screaming wreck inside. As the others have said, we are here when you need to vent for your own sanity.
RedRuby, is there no end of the torture that evil man can put you through. Feeling unsafe in your own house and living in a state of nervous tension can't be doing a thing for your health and well-being. Same goes for you as for Nanny, use us as a safe place to let rip when you want to.
Nels, I know they always say that you should try to keep to a sleep routine, but I firmly believe that you should take whatever sleep you can, whenever you get it. After all, half the world has a good siesta in the afternoon without any ill effects. Go with your body. It knows what you need.I believe that friends are quiet angels
