Hi guys,
Any one had experience with iWeb? How long did it take for them to open a S&S ISA account for you? I applied on 20th, and am still waiting....

I did, they're a bit slow and clunky and very heavy on the admin at first but once it's up and running it's fine, and they are the cheapest for larger sums.

I opened a S&S ISA account with them around a year ago perhaps a bit longer.  I don't really remember having any problems with them, not sure how long it took but the fact that I don't remember suggests that it did not take that long.  I don't remember having any problems with admin either everything seems to go through just fine.

Like Blue Sky I opened an isa account a little over a year ago & the account was up & running very quickly. The only problem I encountered was due to the platform I was transferring from 'in specie' being very slow & it took some months before all funds were transferred over. Iweb had informend me that the particular platform I was transferring from could be on the slow side when I'd initiated the transfer.

I think you have to remember that most companies still have some employees working from home due to the pandemic, or some could be off sick plus it's now the holiday period, so I'd say just be a bit more patient.
The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.

I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.

I helped a relative open a s+s isa a few weeks ago and it was opened immediately with the ability to fund it.
IWeb will do it a soft credit search (under HBOS) to confirm your identity, if they are unable to they may require extra documents which will take more time

Thanks guys. I just checked my linked debit account, they are in the process of deducing £1 (yesterday actually) so it's in the process I think. I am a foreigner so this may also be why it's slower ...
