Cruise cancellation

Booked a cruise with p & o via planet cruise departure 23.4.2020- my parents were booked on same cruise and we booked ours to join them as a surprise. In march, email received in light of covid offering us to cancel for 40%refund and 60% future cruise credit which we requested. my parents did the same (both aged under 70) . the cruise was then subsequently cancelled. To date we have received a cheque from p& o for 25% of the £1290 that we paid, with no further information our future cruise credit and 15% short of what we were offered in the email. my parents initially received 25% credit but then found a full refund in their bank account. in light of this We have also requested a full refund as we otherwise a)end up with cruise credit for a cruise without my parents on b) the cruise we booked on oceana is no longer sailing with p and o. Please could anybody advise on thoughts of whether we should be entitled to a refund in light of the above or what course of action we should take. would it be worth pursuing a chargeback or section 75 as p&o havent kept to their terms in what they have refunded us? many thanks

What have Planet Cruise said with regards your refund. Did your parents also book through them, a different travel agent or directly with P&O?
  • planet cruise have said they have been trying for a full refund from p and o but have now told us that p and o will pay the 15% difference plus future cruise credit with 25% on top. My parents booked direct with p and o but its my understanding the terms and conditions of booking are the p and o ones so would be the same
