The access point managed to reset itself and the wireless signal is now called Netgear_11ng. I want to change it.
I took it down, plugged in a power supply, then connected it to my laptop via the network socket.
The default admin IP address should be http://192.168.0.100 but when I try this I get site can't be reached. I've pinged the IP and get destination host unreachable.
All the lights on the AP are on. I've tried resetting it a few times. I've tried with Chrome and Edge. Can't access the admin console. Laptop is HP Windows10.
I'm not the most techie person. Can anyone help me?

You need to set your laptop to a fixed IP address in the same range as the access point. Google should be able to help you set a fixed IP address.

I fiddled around a bit and this only went and worked! I've literally spent hours (many hours!) Googling and trying various things with no joy. Thank you so much0
