Final Demand from VCS

I'm a newbie looking for a bit of advice, I was working for a company last February with a company car and they paid for all my parking however some sites had parking bays I could use I was told me I could park in this parking bay :- I was told just to collect the Permit from the Reception and place on the car :- one day the lady on reception was busy with other people when I checked in and I had to wait for her to issue my permit, when I placed it on my car VCS had placed a ticket on my car but never actually said it was a Ticket or a Fine just a ticket with PRIVACY NOTICE web site of the data protection officer.
After I left the company and handing my company car back the fleet management company said I had a fine I needed to pay :- I check the letter and I still had the permit I was issued and the Privacy Notice that was placed on the company car so I Sent if my appeal thinking all would be ok :- it could take 15 mins to get a permit when reception was busy and by the time you walked back to put on your car and the Appeal came back 2 weeks ago Dismissed and today I have received a Final Demand for £160 to be paid Deadline 23/7/20 before Court Action.
i have been to court before 4 years ago for stating 26 mins over my time and lost and worried the same will happen.
any advice would be much appreciated.

Things have changed with the courts now, they have woken up to the parking scam and more so last year when the courts declared that adding fake add-ons like £60 is abuse of process.
VCS are scamming you with a fake £60 and it's now easy to get their claims struck out in court.
VCS have now tainted their claim by adding a fake £60.
Suggest you reply to their letter asking what is their legal authority to add £60. They have no answer apart from cloud dreaming rubbish.

Take time out to read about ABUSE OF PROCESS and see what the courts do to VCS and the other scammers ......

Appeal came back 2 weeks ago DismissedIt was no surprise that an appeal to an IPC firm failed. Course it did!and today I have received a Final Demand for £160 to be paid Deadline 23/7/20 before Court Action. As expected. So what, really.
Have you missed reading the 2nd post of the NEWBIES thread about how to win a court case v a PPC? That would explain why you lost 4 years ago if you weren't following the advice that has been winning in court for longer than that!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

It is not a fine, it is an invoice from an ex-clamper to compensate them for the alleged harm they suffered when you did what you did. We call it a scam. Pay them not a penny unless a judge so orders it.
Nine times out of ten these tickets are scams, so consider complaining to your MP., it can cause the scammer extra costs, and in some cases, cancellation.
Parliament is well aware of the MO of these private parking companies, many of whom are former clampers, and on 15th March 2019 a Bill was enacted to curb the excesses of these shysters. Codes of Practice are being drawn up, an independent appeals service will be set up later this year,
Just as the clampers were finally closed down, so hopefully will many of these companies, persistent offenders denied access to the DVLA database and unable to operate.
Hopefully life will become impossible for the worst of these scammers, but until this is done you should still complain to your MP, citing the new legislation.

You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0
