Wireless Printer/Scanner recommendation

Hi guys, I need to buy a new printer/scanner and I'm getting lost in the incredible amount of options. Any help really appreciated!
My requirements:
  1. Under £100 (roughly, I can pay a little bit more for the right thing)
  2. Low cost per page
  3. Black and white
  4. Scanner
  5. Wireless
Based on 1-3 I was considering a laser printer and I did find some interesting one: however they either don't have a scanner or they are not wireless. For that reason I started investigating all-in-one inkjets, but the cost per page seems always high and there are hundreds to choose from...
Many thanks!

I recomend you get a seperate printer and scanner.

And pay a lot more than £100 for the scaner. IF. yoyu want to scan negatives.

All in ones a big piles of !!!!!!. However if you must go there then if ink make sure there is 5 seperates inks and you can get aftermarket cheap.

Lazer is an option, but ink is fine, just print a random page once a month or so. If you don't why bother with having a printer?

Wireless? Avoid. Maybe as a backup if you must but never as primary. I have wireless such. I don;t use them wireless. Why bother with the crap?

A lot depends how much printing and scanning you plan to do.  If its a trees worth of paper printing a day, a laser is the obvious solution.
Colour laser printers aren't cheap, but they will be more economical in terms of how much printing they'll do, but the downside is the toners can be quite expensive.

Note that you can get standalone scanners, and you can "add" wireless to a non-wireless printer if you're happy to do a bit of bodging with a spare router and/or a Raspberry Pi.

    We have a Canon MX490 series -
    1&2 - don't know
3 - colour, but I'm sure you can just use B&W
    4&5 - ticks the boxes

    how much printing?

Low use the HP free ink option is a worth a look.

if you have the space a low cost laser for the printing and a free scanner from one of the 3in1s getting thrown out.

My old Brother has a sheet feed scanner going free.
A paper feed cog has gone so unusable and not an easy fix.

Never had a problem with wireless network printer means I don't need to site it near a network connections.

The biggest problem right now is that there is shortage of printers and scanners everywhere as so many people have been buying them for working from home.

I use the HP instant ink which costs me £1.99 per month and allows me to print up to 50 pages (other packages are available).
I am not sure why another poster has issues with wireless, I use it all the time with no problems.  The only downside is that the wife has found out she can print from her phone and never replaces the paper (how roles have reversed from complaints about not replacing the loo roll).

I can also send an email to my printer to print documents which is a handy feature if I am out and about.
