Multiple unsolicited calls recently

I've been receiving calls from various telephone numbers (mainly 0330) about online trading recently.
I did not opt to receive such calls and don't know how they got my number.
Does anyone know if there's been a hacking incident of any institutions which might hold such details recently?

Have you made an insurance claim recently which insisted you give a mobile number?  That was when I started getting an onslaught.  They seem to sell the numbers on every month & the first week of any month is an absolute nightmare.  This is 4 years on.  I've had this number 20 years so 16 years with no rubbish calls.

If it is a landline dial 1572 & follow the instructions.
