Mettle is owned by NatWest/RBS.
However, it's operated separately and in many ways still in beta.
Read the FAQs on their website carefully to ensure if its right for you including https://intercom.help/MettleFAQs/en/articles/3504785-is-mettle-right-for-you
Fwiw HSBC's version is at https://www.hsbckinetic.co.uk
I haven't used either1 -
From their own FAQs:
Is Mettle a bank?
No, we're not a bank – we're a business account.
We provide an E-money account with a sort code, account number and card. This means deposits are not FSCS protected.
However, your money is protected in a ring-fenced account. You can read more about how your money is protected here. They are backed by NatWest (apparently) but personally I'd stick to something more traditional with FSCS protection. Starling seems to have many of the same features, and has FSCS protection.

It would be helpful to get some user experience if possible0
