I booked a girls holiday throught Teletext which was meant to take place from 9th July, the holiday was cancelled due to the covid 19. I have emailled alot asking for a full cash refund and all i keep getting back is would we like to change our flights or rebook. I have explaind that because us ladies all work for the same company we cannot the same holidays again next year so our only option is a full cash refund  and everytime you say that to teletext they hang up on me. I have emailed the managing directir w perks who has also ignored me. We paid by my bank card , so all am asking for  is all our money back. Can you help me please? .  Also we have to reclaim our monies for the luggage through easy jet which we have asked them and they tolds us basically dont hold your breath and that £400 which we want from easy jet and £1800 from teletext
Please help or ket me know what else i can do
Thank you

If you paid Teletext Holidays by debit or credit card put in a chargeback claim with your bank for non-delivery of service that you paid for.

Did Easyjet operate the flights or were they cancelled?  If you paid them directly and they operated the flights you may struggle to get anything back from them.
  • Yes teletext was  paid by my debit card and easy jet we had to pay for the luggage seperatley thats what the 400 pound is for , the flights were cancelled by easy jet

Teletext. Again. Why do people this company? Is it because people see the word "Teletext" and assume it must be the same people who ran the Teletext service on ITV for years and therefore they must be decent?

Teletext Holidays are run by the group behind The Daily Mail, who were also involved in providing the Teletext service on ITV in the 00s - I'm not sure exactly when they bought Teletext.  Given a lot of what was on the old Teletext service included advertising for a number of premium rate phone services I'm not really sure it was ever a trustworthy brand.

The fact that The Daily Mail has a lot of readers and the fact they talk about Teletext Holidays in their articles in a positive way, without saying it's a promotional feature, may be the answer to why so many people book with Teletext Holidays.
