Usually flying abroad but this year looks like a staycation. Looking for a cottage / apartment/ etc in Cornwall for a week - any suggestions for best booking sites ?
Also have seen changeover days of Friday ? Is this usual for Cornwall?

North or South coastal , how many? Chose Sykes as it was one I have used but there are others.Life is like a bath, the longer you are in it the more wrinkly you become.0

Could I just mention that Sykes holidays haven't exactly been fair in refunding customers money. Just take time to have a look at others before you book.

Had nothing but problems with Sykes'. As long as they get your money they don't care if the property is falling down ... The company are also buying up other smaller companies that used to be ok, like Helpful Holidays or Menai ...
Yes, Friday changeover is very common in Cornwall
Try Above Beach Cottages or Aspects Holidays0 -
Good luck. Why Cornwall? Unless you are looking for September or later it will be rammed and expensive,

Not the cheapest but we've stayed at Beachcombers Apartments at Watergate Bay a couple of times. They have other properties to choose from. Website https://www.breaksincornwall.com/
No particular hand-over day, book what-ever days you want, short breaks etc.but as others have said, you'll be limited on availability.0 -
Thanks all
Found something on Holiday Cottages ... September ... here is hoping there is no major restrictions incoming ....0 -
We are rammed at the moment, in fact D&C Police have asked people to stay away. However, if you are coming, then tips for accommodation will be avoid the coast, a little bit inland can be cheaper and may be easier to find vacancies with, start early on your travels - Fridays and Saturdays are the main changeovers but with Airbnb we are finding the main arterial routes busy on Wed & Thursday too. Monday appears to be quieter. Even today, a short trip took us twice as long on the A30. If coming by car check your accommodation has parking.
Enjoy your trip.
