Credit Score at 18

Hello, i'm new to this forum so if I use any incorrect formats I apologised.
I recently turned 18, (May 28th) No credit Score companies can verify my identity. How long does it typically take from your 18th birthday to have a credit score?
I am on the electoral register. I can't apply for a credit building card as it shows i'm not eligible due to have no credit score/history.
Any help will be greatly appreciated,

When did you go on the electoral roll?
Do you have a bank account and/or mobile phone contract, and are they registered at your current address?
They are the only way they will be able to trace you at your age.Why are you so interested in your credit score or history anyway? You know what will be on there - very little!2 -
Your history will build as you start to take out accounts. Raise a dispute with each of the CRAs to nudge them along if you're not yet showing.
Ignore the credit scores they give you, as they're not used by anyone and will be wildly inaccurate for your history. The important thing is to manage your accounts well over the coming years.
Apply for a card with your own bank. You may get lucky, as they can see your history with them.2 -
I have made accounts, I have been on the electoral roll now since I was 16. I can't get a phone contract as I have no credit score/history. Everything is registered at my current address as i've lived here for 18 years.
I will definitely contact their support emails and ask if they can help I guess?0 -
Try a change of ownership for the sim only or phone contract that you have.Dylanm2002 said:I have made accounts, I have been on the electoral roll now since I was 16. If you are so desperate about your credit score being good (which if I was old enough to have one I would be due to my money geekiness), then IF YOU ARE SENSIBLE (hope it’s clear enough) and have a good reason for needing a good credit score (good deals for products during uni or a gap year) then see if you can get a credit building card but spend very little on the card and pay it off IN FULL every month avoiding interest, but this is a only if you really need to, not just because you want to.0

I need credit in order to gain a credit score for a mortgage. Next month i'm hopefully starting an extremely high paying job so I will be able to save enough for a deposit after a year.Mickey666 said:Why do want credit at 18? I’d suggest doing your best to avoid it if possible.0 -
The problem is I can't get a credit building card or any type of credit as I do not show any credit history / score. However, I need to get credit to make my credit score higher and show I have a good history of paying back credit. This is for a mortgage. I'm wanting to get a mortgage asap because renting I find is a waste of money and i'll be able to afford a deposit after a year working at my new job.GabiB said:If you are so desperate about your credit score being good (which if I was old enough to have one I would be due to my money geekiness), then IF YOU ARE SENSIBLE (hope it’s clear enough) and have a good reason for needing a good credit score (good deals for products during uni or a gap year) then see if you can get a credit building card but spend very little on the card and pay it off IN FULL every month avoiding interest, but this is a only if you really need to, not just because you want to.0 -
Your score is only seen by yourself, lenders see your history.Dylanm2002 said:

You need to have some patience, it will take time.0 -
The problem is, I can't see my score. Lenders cannot verify my identity. So i'm unable to get any type of credit.DCFC79 said:
