I have spoken to Canadian affair today to request a refund on flights that they cancelled. However I've been informed they can only refund me the value of my out going ticket not my return ticket due to a policy change at the beginning of July. (Which is on their website apparently)I will have a voucher for the value of the return flight, valid for 2 years.
Is this right. Can I demand a refund.
I did pay by credit card but paid the card off.
Any advice is gratefully received.
Many thanks.

You have clearly booked Air Transat flights, a quick search will show they were denying any right to refinds for the first 4 months, threats of legal action and chargebacks got them to move a fortnight ago to offering the outbound portion only. The law is clear, you are entitled to a full refund, advise that if this is not promised within 7 days, you will contact your card issuer and make a chargeback claim, and then do it0
