Can anyone help me out, I transferred many tickets to friends or using twickets if I could not make the concert, I tried transferring tickets the other week and message came up 'ticket management has been deactivated for your account', i can log into the app and website but the events have disappeared. I still get emails from axs saying 'ticket transfer pending' for transfers I made to other people. I try and contact them by customer support and they come back to me with the following:

"We have blocked the use of the services as per AXS Resale Agreement which were breached.

As per AXS Terms and Conditions we can see that you have transferred the tickets to many customers and only sold 3 last year.

You can see more of our T&C's on here https://www.axs.com/uk/about-purchase-agreement_UK_v4.html and https://www.theo2.co.uk/faqs/axs-official-resale-faqs

You can use the tickets on the day of the event by scanning the payment card, which you have used when making the purchase, and your photo ID.

    Kind regards,"

This makes no sense, I am allowed to transfer tickets to other people as often as I wish, I purchased these tickets legally through AXS which were in my account. Where do I stand legally? Can AXS just confiscate my events and not give my money back? They have very poor customer support reviews, I went back to them asking to clarify as on live chat they said you can transfer tickets.

Why post this when you already have your own thread on the same subject?

  • My suspicion is that have blocked you as they suspect you are operating as a ticket tout. You are allowed to resell via their platform and also transfer a limited amount of tickets to friends and family, but if there is high usage of the latter feature then it wil look like you are operating as a tout and taking money externally. You are allowed to gift to friends and family, you are not allowed to tout.

You need to contact them to regain access to your account, provided you are still compliant with their Ts&Cs.
This is a good point however they have not even mentioned the specific reason. i have only got tickets to about 15 concerts next year and not transferred many tickets this year, maybe 10 total. If I am good at obtaining tickets (fast internet speed), then why should I be penalized if I am the source of tickets to my friends, they haven't said your only allowed to transfer "a limited amount" of tickets to friends/family, every event has a transfer option to send to whomever you want

Can you provide evidence you gave all these tickets to friends and family, or is this really a business like your console-buying-and-selling on your other thread?  If you're buying and selling tickets in quantities they probably suspect you're touting, just as PayPal correctly deduced you were profiteering on consoles.

I am buying tickets within the quantity  limits of a concert, and just sending them to people I know , not talking hundreds of transfers a year, around 30 a year total. They have not said anything about touting or given a valid reason why they blocked access to the app, either way I should be allowed access to events I bought tickets for and have paid for from my credit card.

You are allowed access to the events. They have said you can attend all the concerts you have bought tickets for.

Yes I understand but if im going with other friends or I got them for friends I want to transfer tickets to them, it is allowed and an option on the APP, axs cannot force me to go to an event if i got tickets for another 2 friends...
  • By neither can you force them to do business with you if they don't like what you're doing.

You're re-selling, pure and simple. It seems they are suspicious about the extent to which you're doing so, or just don't like it, and consequently are restricting your account.

But then they can't keep my money if i bought tickets to 10 events next year for me and my friends, I am legally not allowed my money back?

If you've bought tickets to 10 events for you and your custo-, sorry, friends, they don't legally have to give you your money back, no.  It's up to you to use the tickets you bought.  If you've bought tens of tickets in your own name, you can visit all events you bought tickets for.  If you can't be in more than one place at once, that's not their fault.  I should imagine they'll have a process that tags your tickets so that they're alerted when used, and an ID check is done.

Surely, your preferred outcome is for you and all your friends to enjoy the events for which you bought tickets as gifts?  That's all AXS seem to want you to do, too.  What they don't want is unscrupulous people with fast broadband hoovering up multiple tickets on release day, then re-selling them at a profit, outside of their resale processes, to people masquerading as friends.  If you're not doing that, you don't have a problem.  But I'm pretty certain you are.
  • What with this and the console re-selling, I think you need a better money-making plan.  Companies are much wiser about these tactics than they used to be and are putting steps in place to clamp down on it.  You're clearly overdoing it and arousing suspicion, having been picked up by two companies in the last few weeks.  I presume HMRC aren't aware of this sideline, either, so they may be the next party to start taking an interest.
