Title says it all really.  I was horrified to discover Bham Midshires reported to my credit file as having missed a mortgage payment in April when I had not. I can prove it was paid. Ive been trying for a week to get through to them by phone without success. What advice can people give me please to sort this out as quickly as possible?

    Keep trying.

You might also want to raise a dispute via the impacted CRAs.

Try to file a notice of correction with Equifax and Experian, your lender will have 14 working days to reply and correct the mistake. Otherwise try to complain with the bank
I had an issue with Thames Water, they phoned me and told me they would remove the missed payment on my credit file

So is there more to the story than this ? Do you pay by DD/SO and you can prove it's a systems issue ? Is there a history of late payment that they've not reported and this was a final straw for them ?

Did Thames Water contact you after you filed a notice of correction?

I can prove it was paid.
