If you want to get rid of something leave it outside with a price tag on it and someone will steal it. Say it's free and they won't bother.

Did that with a push bike i wanted shot of but couldn't be bothered to take it to the tip ( it was too rusty and knackered to sell)

So I left it outside my front door with no bike lock on it and it took 24 hours for somebody to steal it!

For branch wood  >3", chop it in to 12" lengths and stack it somewhere sheltered to season. Once dry (20% moisture content or less), use it on the fire or sell it.
Its been sitting there for 2 years, fully seasoned now. Have tried to give it away and I can't! Its just a big eyesore now and I want to clear it away.
I hired a wood chipper in the spring that seemed to do the job and wasn't too expensive?

I used national tool hire and didn't have a problem with their terms or anything.

    Good luck!

With @Cloughy resurrecting a three year old thread, I'll add another comment.. Ended up spending ~£70 on a cheap cement mixer online - Reckon with all the cement & concrete I needed to mix, it would be worth it. Got through about 3 tonnes of sand so far, and it certainly has made life easier. When I'm done, I can always sell the mixer.

You also get a better mix. One of the main issues with a hand mix in a barrow is that it isn't turned over enough to get the air into the mix. Consequently, extra water is required to make it workable.

Why go to a shop if you need a tool......convenience, immediately available, speed ?
You can usually pick up any tool you need 2nd hand for a fraction of the cost of a new one.......then sell it on when you no longer need it !
