Can I get a certified copy of a certified copy of a will?

Hello

I'm executor for my mother's estate. I have a certified copy of her will, but haven't yet found the original among her paperwork. I have contacted the solicitors who she used to draw it up in case they hold the original, and am waiting to hear back. If they don't have the original, and I need some more copies, is it legal to get them or or another notary/solicitor to certify copies of the copy that has already been certified? Hope that makes sense.

You will not be able to get additional copies without the certifier seeing the original. You will also need the original if you are having to apply for probate.

Thank you @Keep_pedalling and @Marcon. I'm very glad to say that the solicitor did have it. The archive person was on leave so they took a while to get back to me, so after a week or so of worrying, it's now in my possession. Phew!
