Annual leave to boost income whilst on furlough

So, I understand that I can use up my annual leave allowance to top-up the CJRS payment so I receive 100% salary. My question is: Do I only need to book 20% of any given day (1.5hrs of a 7.5 hr working day) to get this or will this only work for a full-days holiday?

No you need to book the whole day off. If you book 1.5 hours off your employer will only have to give you a top up equivalent to what they would pay you for 18 minutes work!
Presuming you work Mon-Fri and get Bank Holidays as annual leave if you wanted 100% pay for the month of August you would need to book 20 days annual leave if you were fully furloughed. If you're on part time furlough of 2.5 days per week then you'd need to book in 10 days annual leave.0
